Grow up....
Yesterday met up with my old friends of 15 years... everyone looks familiar yet felt very distance... if I didn't count back the years since Sec 1, it felt that we just graduate and have a dinner together... memories of us since to stop the day we step out of school and everyone has grown up for the past 15 years and I hardly know who are these people in front of me... don't know what to talk about...
"so what are you doing lately?", "so you have a boyfriend now?", "so when are you getting married?", these are those brief questions that we exchange... after that I'm all silence... don't know what I should ask or am interested to know... rather Bee is much closer to Ck than I do with him... despite been dated when we are young.. I hardly know who is ck now, although I also don't know how he think when we dated also... sometime I wonder if we never have part.. will he become who is he now... he use to be a very devoted and romantic lover... I remember he sending me a very hug valentine card, a big bouquet of a dozen of lilies... but when I found out that he is double crossing his girlfriend- having one night flings with girls, etc... I was shock that what he has become... despite that he is still with the girl that he left his gf of 8 years.
As for Bee, her past 2 r/s does not turn out well.. it all ended every time when they have plans for wedding... so she jokefully said that till the last few days that she is going to walk down the isle, then she will inform us or else it will be cursed again. But I know through those jokes she must have gone through a rough time letting go those r/s, hope everything is well again for her.
I felt the marriage topic is a topic that keep haunting us in our age... everyone you see will keep asking you so when you getting marry? so old liao its time to settle down already, etc... but what does age got to do with getting marry? Can't I get married at 50? And getting married does not mean a guarantee to have endless happiness in your life... so why one need to get married?
